Following recent trials, Syensqo has proven that film structures using our Ixan PVDC product are fully compatible with existing mechanical PE recycling. This allows for the reuse of the resulting feedstock in injection moulded items.
The company hopes to expand the applications that can utilise mechanically recycled materials, with the end goal of promoting 100% circularity of engineering plastics.
The project will focus on the dismantling, shredding, and sorting of clustered polymers and automotive parts of end-of-life vehicles, proving these solutions work in real-world scenarios.
